Ben history video

Sue a member of Libera Dreams posted this statement and video on Ben.

I create a new one for you & me (& Libera haha), shows our front man & beloved soloist Ben Phil. I collect many vids to work with it & editing it all to this new one. You will see that it's chronological ordered, so you can watch how Ben Phil developed & grew up from a child into a teenager.

Relating to him it isn't enough to mention only his vocal performance. He represented Libera in interviews & towards the modern media very often, too. Ben's skills in fundraising & promotion for Libera were recognized.

You can watch it in HD & I recommend always the Full Screen!

Brand New Video!

Lullabye

I love this awesome video!!! Goodbye Josh we will miss you. This is Josh goodbye video. Josh lip sings in this video as nine months ago he could sing this high, but now his voice is in a lower tone. My guess is that they filmed the video recently and added his singing.
Following is a post on Libera Dreams member "Bar"

I thought for sure Time was Josh's swan song, but this is a fantastic surprise. If this is indeed his "swan song" for good, what an excellent send-off!

Interpretation

To my understanding, the theme of this music video seems to be "Growing Up", and what an appropriate theme it is! The video seems to focus on Josh and Ben, and if I'm correct, with Josh (solo) and Ben (harmony). Coincidence that the video is about growing up? I think not!

Bittersweet, definitely...since the video drives the point home that Josh and Ben have grown up and will soon leave Libera.

Storyline: The Libera boys all live at an orphanage, with the woman running it. Josh and Ben play the older boys who help take care of the younger ones. You can see this throughout the video - Josh reading to the younger boys, and Ben helping one of them get into bed near the beginning.

Josh and Ben soon come of age, and are drafted into the army. This is the pivotal point where they officially assume adult roles, and are certainly no longer children. The video is about the woman having memories of her grown "children", and missing the days when they were younger and under her care.

Excellent parallels to the changing roles of Ben and Josh in Libera. What an excellent send-off to the pair of them.

I particularly like the part beginning at 1:46, in which Josh looks over the whole room. For me, this is a parallel to Josh overlooking all the work he's done with Libera. Surveying the mark that he's left on the choir, all the good times he's had, and looking forward to taking care of and mentoring the new generation of Libera boys. To me, that survey over the room is Josh's survey of his Libera legacy.

Bravo, Mr. Prizeman. Bravo.

…and especially our supporters in Bristol and Chester – can you help?

We need help to spread the word about our concerts in Bristol and Chester. We need people to put up posters in libraries, churches, schools etc.. Or perhaps you can hand out A5 flyers or leave them where people might pick them up.

If you can help click here to go to our Posters page. Simply save the poster or flyer you need to your computer and print off as many as you need.

If you don’t live in Bristol or Chester you can still help by encouraging your friends to come to our concerts.
